Browlift

Dr. Tye performs endoscopic brow lifts to raise eyebrows and reduce ridges and furrows on the forehead, thus creating a smoother, more youthful appearance. This procedure can be performed in conjunction with other surgeries such as an eyelid lift (Blepharoplasty).

Under IV Sedation or General Anesthesia, hidden incisions are made in the hairline. A small camera is used to tunnel down to the brow region where a laser or radiofrequency is used to release the attachments of the brow. The brows are elevated and secured with small tacks in the hairline. The brows are elevated into a youthful arch.

Post-Operative Information

Antibiotics may be prescribed for several days following surgery. A bandage is placed around the forehead for 3 to 4 days. Sutures are generally removed within one week. Swelling and some bruising may occur, which should subside within a few weeks. Our doctors will prescribe ice compresses and eye exercises to reduce swelling and regain mobility. Women will be allowed to use eye cosmetics one week after surgery. You can proceed with your normal daily activities within 1-2 weeks. A final evaluation may occur within several months from the initial surgical procedure.
