What is O&FS?

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the "specialty of surgery which involves the diagnosis, surgery and adjunctive treatment of diseases and defects involving both the functional and aesthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region."

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Tye manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, jaws, and facial regions. Dr. Tye practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from cosmetic facial surgery to corrective jaw surgery, wisdom teeth removal and dental implants. He can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries and TMJ disorders, and performs a full range of dental implant procedures.

Dr. Tye 's staff is trained in assisting with I.V. sedation within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery.
